Two reasons:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003col\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eThe cyan fades into the background really nicely after you ink or color your sketches\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eIf you intend to digitize your sketches, it's very easy to isolate the cyan and remove it from the background.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ol\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003e\u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003eSize and paper info:\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSize-\u003c\/strong\u003e 8.5\" x 5.5\" (~214mm x 135mm)\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePaper-\u003c\/strong\u003e 67lb\/147gsm acid free vellum paper\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePage count- \u003c\/strong\u003e20 pages (40 drawing surfaces)\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eBinding-\u003c\/strong\u003e Staple bound\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eBleed info- \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eI've used plenty of ballpoint pens, gel pens, colored pencils, liner markers (like Microns), brush pens, and utensil of that sort with no bleeding issues unless you are REALLY laying it on thick.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eFountain Pens- these are my primary utensils for inking and lining. I don't have many issues with bleed unless it's a particularly wet pen or I'm laying down a lot of ink, like coloring in a square or something.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eAlcohol markers will bleed. I would not recommend them with this sketchbook.
